A Very Neumann Christmas

We traveled to Southport, NC to celebrate Christmas with Doug's family this year. Our car was PACKED full as you can see.We had a wonderful time with everyone, and yes I mean everyone. Uncle Greg surprised us on Christmas eve, traveling all the way from Colorado to be a part of the festivities.
The cousins (Paige, Hannah, and Abigail) had a fun time playing together. This was the first time they had ever seen each other. I met cousin Abigail for the first time and my new sister-in-law, Kathryn. Paige and Hannah met Aunt Kat for the first time too and they became fast friends.
We made a trip to the indoor pool to swim with the girls. Abigail pulled a fast one without her diaper on before we got started (attagirl, Abigail), but we quickly recovered and had a great time splishin' and a splashin'.

On Christmas Eve we tried to take pictures of the girls in their jammies and after the babies went to bed we let loose on this year's pinata. Darlin broke it in two with one swing of the stick! Then we spent the rest of the night wearing the top of the candy cane on our heads. : )

Then there was a knock at the door...
Doug and I were so happy to have our girls surrounded by such wonderful aunties and uncles (and grandparents too) on Christmas morning! Hannah and Uncle Greg passed out the presents together. Thank you everyone for your thoughtful gifts.

Mike and Cindi were wonderful hosts sometimes making multiple trips to the grocery store each day to keep us all fed. I have never seen food disappear so fast! Cindi made her famous "Bathroom Buns" which we quickly devoured.
Howard, Colleen and Rox traveled 5 hours to visit us the day after Christmas and we all watched the UNC game together. Colleen brought her delicious rum cake!
"The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other."

  1. Great summary of the holiday, Beth! I especially appreciate the flattering remarks about the uncles. :)

Hope to see you all sooner than later...
