Shopping Spree

We went to the outlets a few weeks ago and the girls were pretty good entertaining themselves while Doug and I tried to find some clothes.

Spooky Fun!

Halloween was a whirlwind this year in large part because I attempted to plan a neighborhood pizza party before trick-or-treat. In the end the party had to be canceled due to the weather, but the skies cleared for trick-or-treat, so the kids had a wonderful time. Hannah was a fairy this year and Paige was Elmo (thanks, grandma). Cathie threw her annual Halloween party which was such a treat for the kids. Doug and I went to the neighborhood party dressed as Facebook pages and won "most original costume". Happy Halloween!

Soccer Season Two

Our second season of soccer wrapped up at the end of October. It was another great bunch of kids this season. Hannah had fun playing and Doug had a good time coaching.

Our First Campout

We took the kids to Jordan Lake to camp with friends right before Hannah went back to school. We had a campfire dinner, "bobbed" for apples, and made s'mores for dessert. Paige and mommy left at 8:00pm to go home and sleep in our beds. Hannah and Doug stayed at the campground that night so Hannah could give camping a try. They made it all night despite the cold and Hannah says she wants to do it again.

Visiting Uncle Greg

We had the chance to see Greg during Hannah's track-out while he was visiting Mike and Cindi. It was a quick visit right after our trip to the mountains. The girls loved spending time with him and daddy got to sneak in a game of golf. The weather did not want to cooperate with our s'more making plans, so we made them in the oven instead. Just as yummy!

Sweet Time at Tweetsie

We decided to take a family trip to Blowing Rock and visit Tweetsie Railroad. We had a great time. The fall foliage was beautiful while we were there. The first day, we took a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short hike. We went to Tweetsie the next day and despite being chilly, the kids were in heaven riding all of the rides. Sunday we visited Linville Falls and Linville Caverns before heading home.
