Halloween Pageant

Hannah's preschool put on a little Halloween program today that we all enjoyed. To open, the kids paraded around the room showing off their costumes while they played the Ghost Busters theme. Hannah was Snow White (Thanks, Grandma, for a wonderful costume). All the kids looked great. Then they made a large circle and sang a few Halloween songs for us - too cute! When it was over, all of the kids changed back in to their regular clothes for the rest of the school day. What fun! Even the teachers dressed up like ladybugs (Hannah's class mascot). Hannah had a blast!

My Friend Spotty

Spotty the Ladybug is Hannah's preschool class mascot. Each weekend one lucky kid gets to bring Spotty home for some misadventures and report back to class the next week on what they did. This past weekend was Hannah's turn. Here is the letter that she sent back to be read at circle time by her teacher.

Thank you for letting Spotty come home with me! I liked showing her to my family. On Friday, Spotty went out to dinner with us. Spotty and I had pizza and my mommy and daddy had pasta. (My sister Paige had milk.) Spotty and I had fun coloring my placemat together and Spotty tasted my mommy’s pasta.
On Saturday, Spotty and I had breakfast together. We both like scrambled eggs and orange juice! Then we took Spotty to the doctor to get our flu shots. The nurse was nice and Spotty was very brave. Spotty helped me be brave when it was my turn to get a shot. It hurt, but it will help keep me healthy this year. I held Spotty tightly all the way home.
On Sunday, mommy and I went shopping for decorations for our Halloween party! We bought pumpkins, spider webs, and bats to decorate our house. We also bought candy and cookie dough for the party. The next day my daddy and I baked the cookies and Spotty helped. Spotty is my buddy! -Hannah Neumann

The Disneyland of Pumpkin Patches

Recently we took Hannah and Paige to Hill Ridge Farms (I call it the Disneyland of pumpkin patches) to get our pumpkins for Halloween. Among other things, they have pony rides, train rides, hayrides, a sandbox, a giant slide, a playground, duck races, mazes and a tee pee. They also have pumpkins. : ) We went with some other families and all the kids had a great time. Just look at these cuties...
Unfortunately, my camera batteries died so I didn't get that many shots. BUT....

Later that afternoon (after much needed naps) we went over to Danny's house for a costume party. I had recharged my batteries for this so I have more to share. It's so cute it's SCARY!

You're Under Arrest!

The Apex police visited Hannah's Preschool on October 6th and taught the kids about not talking to strangers. The fire department is coming next week. Let's hope Hannah doesn't get her hands on the hose.

Swamp Land for Sale

Sold! We signed the papers on our new lot on September 28th. We're building a new house about 10 minutes from where we currently live. Our lot backs up to wetlands so we joke that we've purchased "the swamp". I hope we're still laughing when we move in.

Cindi has been so helpful in the "selection" process as we try to choose everything from faucets to wall color. We are very excited!

All Smiles!

We could not ask for a better baby than Paige. She is just about the happiest baby we've ever seen. Of course we are biased!

Finger Lickin' Good

Our little Paige is starting to eat solids. I can't believe how fast this first year is going! In the process she has discovered her tongue. It's pretty funny to watch. And of course, the Hannah commentary is pretty funny too.
