That's So Corny!

We found out at dinner the other night that Paige LOVES corn. Even after the kernels were gone, she was trying to suck corn flavor out of the cob!

Soccer Fun!

Hannah is participating in her first "team sport" this spring. She's a member of the Saints soccer team! Doug is the assistant coach for her team. They're both having fun and we all enjoyed her first game Saturday. We tied 3-3, but technically they don't keep score. : )

Doug had to travel for a 10 day stretch at the beginning of March and my mom graciously agreed to come and help me with the kids while he was gone. We had a lot of fun, but by the end we were all very tired. Here's a peek at what went on while she was here.

Visit to Southport

On the weekend of the 12th and 13th we took a trip down to Southport to celebrate Doug's birthday and visit with his parents. We packed in the fun. We ate sushi, rode on the ferry, visited the aquarium, saw our friends hard at work renovated their new beach house, ate birthday cupcakes, played the piano, roasted marshmallows and made s'mores, and shopped just a little bit. : )

I Heart Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day here yesterday. Doug surprised everyone with heart shaped coffee pancakes, bacon, and fresh brewed coffee for breakfast. We all had fun opening our valentines and stuffing our faces.

Then we went to school where we showered the teachers with gifts and Hannah passed out cards to her friends. She decorated cookies and made a valentine for the mommy and daddy at her school party. Paige didn't have a party, but she had a "special snack" at MMO (which was all over her shirt when I picked her up).
