A Berry Fun Birthday

At the end of April we went to the strawberry patch to celebrate Paige's birthday. By waiting a bit we were able to include Grandpa, Darlin, and cousin Abigail in the fun. We went down the slides, climbed the hay mountain, played in the corn pit, and rode on/in the big tube swing. Next we all got rides on the cow train (a big hit with young and old alike). Then we piled on a hayride that took us to a private part of the berry patch and picked a basket of berries. After that it was back to the picnic shelter for cake and ice cream! We sure had a great time with family and friends.

Easter Fun!

We left the beach after breakfast on Easter Sunday, and when we got home, we discovered that the Easter Bunny had been busy at our house while we were gone. We also made it back in time for the neighborhood egg hunt. It was hot that day and we were a bit sweaty, but we still had fun. And the candy in the eggs tastes just the same melted. : )

Beach Trip!

We went to Wrightsville Beach for a quick two night stay with our neighbors on Easter weekend. We had never stayed in a hotel room with our kids before, so I was pretty nervous. They did a great job though and everyone got some sleep. The weather was chilly on Friday, but we had a beautiful day Saturday which made up for it. So nice in fact that we all got a little too much sun. It was such a fun getaway! Hannah and Paige loved having friends there to play with, which freed Doug and I up for a little relaxation of our own.

Two Much!

We celebrated Paige's birthday today with mac 'n cheese, cupcakes, and presents. What more could a girl ask for? Of course we can't believe how quickly this little girl is growing up...

That's So Corny!

We found out at dinner the other night that Paige LOVES corn. Even after the kernels were gone, she was trying to suck corn flavor out of the cob!

Soccer Fun!

Hannah is participating in her first "team sport" this spring. She's a member of the Saints soccer team! Doug is the assistant coach for her team. They're both having fun and we all enjoyed her first game Saturday. We tied 3-3, but technically they don't keep score. : )

Survivor: Cary, NC

Doug had to travel for a 10 day stretch at the beginning of March and my mom graciously agreed to come and help me with the kids while he was gone. We had a lot of fun, but by the end we were all very tired. Here's a peek at what went on while she was here.
