Father's Day Fun

Mike and Cindi were kind enough to watch the girls so that Doug and I could go to Charleston for a weekend to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We came back on Father's Day and Doug prepared a shrimp boil that we ate in the backyard. It was such a nice evening!

Kumbaya Y'all!

We took the kids to Lake Jordan this year to get our feet wet (literally and figuratively) camping with the kids. We had a great campsite by the water where the kids could climb down to their own little beach and play in the lake. We got very little sleep, but had a whole lot of fun. We were there with our friends the Michnowiczs and the Hoffmans which made it even better!

Celebrating the 4th!

We traveled to Granville for the 4th of July to visit my parents, celebrate Hannah's birthday, and attend my 20th high school reunion. The kids enjoyed fireworks, a parade (that I got to ride in), and the Granville street fair. Not to mention a trip to pizza cottage (with birthday cake), a chance to make their own sundaes, a fun picnic, and the Wilds. It was a busy, busy trip, but so much fun. It rained a lot while we were there, but we managed to get in all of our fun!

Last Day of First Grade!

Hannah finished up the school year on June 28th. We've had a great year at Alston Ridge and Hannah is looking forward to second grade. Meet the teacher is just 3 weeks away!

Outstanding Achievement

Doug and I were invited to a special awards ceremony at Hannah's school where she was given the Leadership Award for her class. She got to go up on stage in front of all of the first and second graders to accept her certificate. Doug and I were so proud of her! She didn't know that she was getting the award or that Doug and I would be there, so she was very surprised.
